Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Administer medications and immunizations under physician supervision
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment for overnight patient care
- Triage patient calls and provide after-hours clinical support
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and assist with procurement
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Texas state certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Meditech preferred)
- BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Spanish fluency strongly preferred for El Paso patient population
