Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Obtain vital signs, administer medications, and perform basic health assessments under the supervision of a licensed provider.
- Charting: Accurately document patient encounters, medications, and treatments into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Assistance: Assist physicians and nursing staff with examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Phlebotomy: Perform venipuncture and blood draws with precision and patient comfort in mind.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to hospital protocols and safety standards to maintain a sterile environment.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for patients and visitors, providing clear and empathetic communication.
- Inventory: Monitor and restock examination rooms and medical supplies to ensure efficient daily operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or MA equivalent).
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred, with specific night shift experience a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in phlebotomy, EKG administration, and electronic health records software.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
