As a Medical Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our night shift patients, ensuring their comfort and care while assisting physicians with clinical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits.
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and patient medical histories.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis, and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
- Perform phlebotomy and EKG procedures accurately.
- Update and file patient medical records and charts in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Assist with patient scheduling and answering inquiries regarding office policies.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid NY State Driver's License (if applicable for facility travel).
