Responsibilities
- Provide daily patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Support infection control protocols and maintain sterile environments
- Communicate patient status changes to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities
- Maintain detailed patient records using electronic health systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current NYS CNA certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Background check and drug screening clearance
- Reliable transportation to multiple facility locations
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
