Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures including vital sign measurements and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians with clinical examinations, minor procedures, and diagnostic testing
- Administer medications and injections following established protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with attention to detail and HIPAA compliance
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment and exam rooms
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate laboratory specimens and perform basic lab tests
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems and medical documentation
- Strong phlebotomy and EKG skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in fast-paced environments
