Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital sign measurement, and preliminary assessments during night shifts
- Assist providers with clinical procedures including injections, wound care, and specimen collection
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain sterile equipment for overnight operations
- Coordinate patient flow between departments during night shift hours
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication instructions
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Current BLS/CPR certification and Virginia state license
- Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal abilities for patient interaction during night hours
