Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Perform basic clinical tasks (vitals, EKGs, injections) under supervision
- Manage electronic health records and patient scheduling
- Collect and process lab specimens
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior medical experience necessary (training provided)
- BLS/CPR certification preferred (will train)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer literacy
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain Texas Medical Assistant certification within 6 months
