Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients and rooms for medical examinations
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Perform basic EKGs, vital sign monitoring, and phlebotomy
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communications
- Ensure sterile environments and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduation from accredited medical assistant program OR willingness to complete on-the-job training
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in dynamic clinical settings
- Basic computer proficiency for EHR systems
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
- Background check and drug screen clearance
