Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately measure vital signs and document patient histories in EHR systems
- Perform basic laboratory tests including blood draws and EKGs
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence
- Adhere to strict HIPAA and OSHA compliance protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn EHR systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
