Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Accurately record medical histories and vital signs
- Perform basic lab tests and EKGs
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Schedule appointments and handle insurance verification
- Maintain sterile examination environments
- Administer injections and medications as directed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (will provide training)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain state certification within 6 months
