Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for clinical procedures and maintain exam rooms
- Accurately record patient histories and vital signs
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Schedule appointments and handle administrative tasks
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred)
- Certification eligibility (MA, CMA, or RMA within 6 months)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
