Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and accuracy
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment following OSHA protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient flow
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- North Carolina MA license in good standing
