Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain medical supplies
- Take vital signs, collect specimens, and perform basic lab tests
- Update patient electronic health records (EHR) accurately
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications professionally
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant certificate preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Willingness to complete paid on-the-job training program
- CPR certification (will be provided if not already held)
