Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare patients for clinical procedures and obtain vital signs
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and patient documentation
- Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient reception duties
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards
- Willingness to complete hospital-specific training program
- CPR certification (will be provided if not already certified)
