Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, verify information, and prepare them for examinations.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist Providers: Work alongside doctors and nurses during patient visits and procedures.
- Lab Work: Collect and process blood and tissue samples, perform basic lab tests, and maintain inventory.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage medical records, update patient charts in the EHR system, and handle scheduling.
- Inventory Management: Restock examination rooms and medical supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant Certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work well in a team environment.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn Electronic Health Records (EHR) software quickly.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and assist patients with mobility.
