Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Greet patients, verify their identity, and prepare them for examinations by recording vital signs and medical history.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nursing staff during exams by preparing instruments and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Procedures: Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood, and prepare specimens for analysis under supervision.
- Administrative Tasks: Schedule patient appointments, manage incoming calls, and update patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Medication Management: Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by the supervising physician.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and common areas.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required; Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required; we value attitude and aptitude over history.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office or medical software.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
