Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake screenings, including reviewing medical history and recording vital signs accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Assist providers during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis and EKGs, under the supervision of a nurse or physician.
- Manage patient charts and Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, handle patient inquiries, and verify insurance information.
- Provide patient education on medication and post-procedure care instructions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- No prior medical assistant experience required; we provide training for the right candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new medical software quickly.
- CPR certification is preferred but can be obtained during onboarding.
