Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, measure vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse), and update patient medical records accurately.
- Assist Providers: Prepare examination rooms for patient visits and assist physicians and nurses during clinical procedures.
- Injection Administration: Administer injections and medications as directed by licensed healthcare professionals.
- Lab Work: Collect and process blood samples and other specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Administrative Support: Schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and handle patient inquiries with a smile.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized environment to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Education: Provide patients with educational materials regarding their treatment plans and wellness tips.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certification: While CMA or RMA certification is preferred, we accept candidates without certification who are willing to obtain them.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required prior to start date.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform physical examinations if necessary.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with computer systems and electronic health records (EHR).
