Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and insurance information.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and maintain accurate patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage prescription refills.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, sanitized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to obtain Medical Assistant certification or CMA/RMA credentials within 6 months of hire (training provided).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn hospital software systems.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
