Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient vitals, measurements, and basic health screenings.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Manage patient intake, verify insurance eligibility, and update medical records in our EHR system.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations under strict physician supervision.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a busy medical office setting preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
