Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across all age groups
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders while monitoring patient responses
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provide patient/family education on health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards
- Participate in trauma activations and emergency response procedures
Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN license (compact license accepted)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience with 1+ year in emergency medicine
- Proficiency in EHR systems (EPIC experience preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency assessment skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
