Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories and electronic health records
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Perform vital signs and basic diagnostic tests (EKG, phlebotomy)
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with specialty services
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Nebraska state medical assistant license
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
