Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems with meticulous attention to detail
- Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and process laboratory specimens
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean, organized exam rooms
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols
