Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs and obtain patient history prior to provider visit.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
- Greet patients and ensure a welcoming clinic environment.
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance companies.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Reliable transportation for potential travel to Ohio locations if applicable.
