Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, take medical histories, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist providers with minor procedures and administer injections/medications as directed.
- Manage front-office duties including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure a clean, sterile, and safe environment by adhering to all infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding test results and follow-up care instructions.
- Coordinate with pharmacy and labs for prescription refills and lab draws.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, or similar).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
