Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Administer injections, perform EKGs, and collect laboratory specimens
- Maintain electronic health records with 100% accuracy
- Schedule appointments, manage inventory, and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with insurance companies for billing and coding
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Medical Assistant certification (AAMA or AMT)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- CPR certification and phlebotomy skills
- Strong communication and patient interaction abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Spanish fluency is highly desirable
