Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, obtain vitals, and document medical histories.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and maintain sterile environments.
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and perform basic laboratory tests (phlebotomy).
- Manage front desk operations including scheduling, insurance verification, and EHR updates.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Arizona state licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
