Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Accurately measure vital signs and document electronic health records (EHR)
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests
- Administer medications and immunizations per physician protocol
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain exam room efficiency
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Manage inventory and ensure sterile equipment availability
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
