Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in processes to ensure efficient flow.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient symptoms accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical instruments for sterilization.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines under provider supervision.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision.
- Coordinate with insurance companies for billing and patient financial clearance.
Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or MA).
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
