We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support our healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care. Your role will involve a mix of clinical and administrative duties, with the flexibility to work remotely for certain tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with clinical procedures, including patient examinations, injections, and wound care.
- Take patient vital signs and medical histories.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Perform administrative tasks remotely, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance verification.
- Coordinate with healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and timely care delivery.
- Provide patient education on health topics and medication instructions.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and place orders as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid CPR certification.
