Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with telemedicine consultations and remote patient monitoring
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation
- Coordinate patient scheduling and communication across departments
- Prepare exam rooms and medical supplies for in-person visits
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance for all patient data
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- 1+ years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to work both independently and in team environments
- Basic telemedicine platform experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Valid Michigan state MA license
