Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and documenting medical history.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during exams, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed, and prepare blood samples for analysis.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, ensuring all patient data is up-to-date and confidential.
- Coordinate patient appointments, handle front desk administrative duties, and facilitate a smooth patient flow.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized examination room environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid California Medical Assistant license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician's office or outpatient setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
