Responsibilities
- Conduct patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight monitoring.
- Prepare patients for examination by the physician or nurse practitioner.
- Assist providers during procedures, injections, and minor office surgeries.
- Manage and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and wellness plans.
- Coordinate laboratory specimens and facilitate diagnostic testing.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and adhere to sterilization protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient transfers.
