Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, emotional, and psychological evaluations.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, strictly following hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical responses to treatments, escalating critical issues immediately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide clear and compassionate education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and post-care instructions.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and outcomes accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Illinois.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred (New graduates encouraged to apply).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
