Responsibilities
- Perform vital sign assessments and record patient medical histories accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
- Manage patient appointments, verify insurance, and handle front desk administrative tasks.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with inventory management and sterilization of medical equipment.
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medications and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Current BLS/ACLS certification is a plus.
