Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their personal and insurance information accurately.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vitals.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as directed by physicians.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain and update patient medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Instruct patients on medications and post-procedure care instructions.
- Manage inventory of exam rooms and medical supplies.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA (National preferred).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and/or ACLS certification.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
