Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment prior to patient exams.
- Take patient vital signs, medical history, and record symptoms accurately into Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures, including phlebotomy and injections.
- Coordinate patient flow, manage check-in and check-out processes, and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by providers, strictly following safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment compliant with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient confidentiality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
