Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) and medical assessments.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations, procedures, and patient examinations.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean, organized clinic environment.
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccines as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient intake, including updating electronic health records (EHR) and insurance information.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and laboratory test follow-ups.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient relations skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
