Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by escorting them to the exam room and explaining procedures.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor surgical procedures.
- Record patient medical history, symptoms, and vital signs accurately.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Provide patient education and instruction regarding treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
