Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Administer medications and vaccinations under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient education materials and follow-up care
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) from accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification with current credentials
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced emergency scenarios
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Valid Oklahoma state medical assistant license
