Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including examinations, injections, and specimen collection
- Perform vital signs measurement, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment per OSHA standards
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule management for optimal efficiency
- Administer medications under provider supervision and monitor patient responses
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification and BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
