Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and administer medications
- Perform point-of-care testing and EKGs
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Coordinate patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Utilize Epic EHR for accurate documentation and patient communication
- Support administrative tasks including appointment scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Active CMA or RMA certification required
- BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year urgent care or ambulatory care experience
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and cultural competence
- Ability to multitask in high-volume settings
- Valid Washington DC medical assistant license
