Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Administer injections and medications per provider orders
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in urgent care or family practice
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Maryland state medical assistant registration
- Experience with venipuncture and point-of-care testing
