Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Conduct patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Uphold HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or family practice
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Oklahoma state medical assistant license required
