Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including ECGs, phlebotomy, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor surgical procedures
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments with specialists
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) from accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in urgent care or outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification with current AHA credentials
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Associate's degree or Medical Assistant diploma required
