Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, vitals, and basic physical exams with precision.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment for infection control.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during patient visits and minor procedures.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, ensuring complete and confidential documentation.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, reminders, and follow-up appointments.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or urgent care setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care environment.
- Proficient in computer skills and EHR software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
