Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, vitals, and medical history reviews with precision.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Administer injections and perform basic lab tests, including EKGs and phlebotomy.
- Manage patient flow and coordinate appointments efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Handle confidential patient records and documentation in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide compassionate patient education and support during visits.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and/or ACLS certification preferred.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
