Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by greeting them and taking vital signs.
- Assist physicians and nurses during medical procedures and examinations.
- Record patient medical history and insurance information accurately.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed.
- Manage patient intake, scheduling appointments, and handling billing inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary examination room environment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital setting.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
