Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, including vitals, weight, and medical history collection.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe environment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Manage patient flow efficiently to reduce wait times and improve satisfaction.
- Handle insurance verification and patient billing inquiries.
- Provide clear patient education and follow-up instructions.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a busy medical practice.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
