Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures
- Take patient vital signs and medical histories
- Prepare and administer medications as directed
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens
- Manage patient records and maintain electronic health records (EHR)
- Schedule appointments and handle administrative tasks
- Ensure a clean and safe clinical environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is required
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with EHR systems
